Fish and Chips on the Menu
Friday afternoon October 21st,three members from West Lancashire (Paul Snape, Mark Barton and Frankie Clarke) rendezvoused with Paul Waring (Grand Sword Bearer) before setting out on a trip out to the Lowestoft to attend on the following day the East Anglia District Meeting.

Arriving at Lowestoft after consuming two packets of “Uncle Joes” they joined Stuart Middleton (Grand Senior Warden) for a relaxing evening meal in a “Roadside Hostelry.”
As Saturday morning dawned and following a hearty breakfast the intrepid travellers made their way to Lowestoft Masonic Hall, arriving there they met up with Geoff Catterall who was taking an end of season short break in this seaside resort, also making the long journey was the District Senior Deacon Eric Poole.

The first order of the day was an enjoyable cup of Tea.

Geoff Keer the DGP for East Anglia was on hand to welcome the members from both East and West Lancashire thanking them for their attendance.
Among the many Honoured Guests was the Deputy Grand Master Clive Manuel, this was Clive’s last outing before retiring from his current role.

During the District Meeting a new District Banner was paraded around the Lodge Room in front of all present before being consecrated in due form, after which the District Chaplain gave an informative oration about the Banner.

Following the meeting we were treated to a splendid three course Banquet in the company of friends from both the District of West Midlands and other Districts visiting the meeting.
